Toby Marsh writes stories for kids who feel big feelings.

His Kai & Bo Adventures follow an eight-year-old boy named Kai, his faithful, food-motivated dog Bo, and the everyday-sized problems — worry, jealousy, waiting, forgiving, feeling different — that turn out to be exactly the size God meets us in. Written for young readers ages 8 to 10 (and the grown-ups who read aloud with them), each book pairs a real adventure with a real question about faith, courage, and character.

No preaching. No perfect kids. Just honest stories where prayer, a little Scripture, and a very good dog help a boy figure out who God made him to be.

Toby believes the best faith lessons are caught, not crammed — and that a boy and his dog can carry a surprising amount of truth between them. When he isn’t writing, he’s usually within arm’s reach of a dog, a cup of coffee, and a half-finished project in the garage.
